Crises and Disaster Aid

Definition

The poor of the world suffer most in times of crisis. The disasters include tsunamis, hurricanes, tornados, earthquakes, floods, dam breaks, famine, drought, plagues, and transmitted diseases. Part of sustainability includes helping people to recover from these crises through humanitarian aid, volunteer work, food-for-work programs, donations, and microinsurance.
