About
Understand the importance of Sustainable Business practices and help your organization take the first step toward progressive change.
Vermont business leaders have redefined the classic business model by building successful, profitable, and socially responsible enterprises. These innovative business owners have demonstrated that what works for the planet and for people also makes their businesses highly profitable.
The University of Vermont’s will host these socially committed innovators at a weeklong conference. Sustainable Business: Practices in Support of People, Profits and Principles will convene in beautiful Burlington, VT on July 7 - 11, 2008.
Socially responsible business leaders, paired with UVM faculty, will present the program. The course is open to business professionals and upper level students.
To acquire the essential knowledge and tools for creating a values-led business culture, participants will learn the design, organization and management principles that make an enterprise sustainable and profitable. Living case studies of projects conducted in a socially and environmentally responsible way while retaining their competitive advantage, will integrate theory and practice.
Visit and learn from some of the most sustainable companies in the U.S. including Ben & Jerry's and Seventh Generation.
Participants may earn college credit or professional credit towards a "Certificate in Sustainable Business Practices."
