Cebu Permaculture Initiatives based in CEBU PHILIPPINES is pleased to inform everyone, that we are now open to welcome permaculture volunteers who would like to visit Cebu in Central Philippines and to see and contribute to making permaculture bring about positive change for people here for such things as: self reliance in food (food security), alternative transportation, appropriate habitat design using alternative materials, fertility (composting, vermiculture, composting toilet, natural fertilizers), etc

We have several ongoing projects at the moment:
but we have the following ongoing projects:
1 urban permaculture garden. demo site for limited area food production. 1200 sqm
2 rural permaculture demo farm. 4ha by the sea with a mangrove forest. so much to do there
3 eco renovation on a 35 year old small hotel: natural ventilation, natural lighting, pocket gardens, green roof, etc
4 Permaculture training as part of company CSR corporate social responsibility, with the ultimate goal to create a LETS or local economy trading system or a form of barter system
5 Introduction of permaculture to schools and local communities through art. my sister paulina constancia is making art that promotes permaculture by portraying the harmonious relationship between people and nature. her website:http://www.paulinaconstancia.com
we just had our first volunteers at our urban garden, now named the KGZ or the Kamagayan Green Zone.
we were happy to host Heath Perry and Ingrid Emm from Denver Colorado, who spent time with us to develop the diversity plots at KGZ.
should anyone like to visit the Philippines, and spend time doing permaculture as it is applied in the tropical zone, we would be happy to welcome you. please send us an email through this address:
cebupermaculture@gmail.com
send us the following basic information:
1 name, age, address of origin
2 intended length of stay*
3 permaculture training or experience
4 motive/reason to come to the philippines
5 other plans during the trip, if any
* FREE food and accomodations for volunteers who stay at least one month
those who plan to stay for a shorter period, will have to cover part of their food and accomodations
we shall have some rules that shall apply for the duration of the stay. we shall send this to you with our reply.
we are looking forward to more permaculture folks visiting the Philippines!
