NCPRI`s objectives are:
To ensure a statutory and enforceable right to information for the people in India
To mobilize people to demand and exercise their right to information
To facilitate the operationalizing of the RTI and general empowerment of people
What does the NCPRI do?
The NCPRI:
facilitates the formulation and enactment of laws promoting transparency;
supports grass roots efforts to access information;
seeks to influence government action and policy towards transparent functioning;
disseminates information on the right to information through publications, the media and in meetings and workshops;
networks with a large number of like-minded groups, institutions and individuals in India and abroad.
How is the NCPRI funded?
The NCPRI is financed through individual donations.
