About [Edit]
The Scout Group assembled during its weekly meeting and read prayers representing various ethnic and religious groups.
Prayers included the Prayer of St Francis, a Christian Prayer for Peace, a Baha'i Prayer for Peace, a Hindu Prayer for Peace, a Muslim Prayer for Peace, a Buddhist Prayer for Peace, a Jewish Prayer for Peace, a Sikh Prayer for Peace, a Shinto Prayer for Peace, a Native African Prayer for Peace, and a Native American Prayer for Peace.
The Group Leader started the proceeding with a quotation:
"Love is not a doctrine. Peace is not an international agreement. Love and Peace are beings who live as possibilities in us." ~ Mary Caroline Richards

The prayers were then read by Individual male and female Scouts. Prayers were not necessarily read by young people of the same ethnic or religious background.
The Group Leader ended the proceeding with the words:
" Peace be with you and all those around you".
