About
I'm a lifelong (very) nonprofit activist, starting to use my retirement to focus my experience, skills, and free time to improve the world.
I am currently Treasurer of Coastwalk, the California nonprofit most identified with protecting coastal access, multi-day coastwalks in each county, and building the California Coastal Trail. You can learn more about our work, and how you can join us, at www.coastwalk.org.
Last summer, I worked with the Awakening the Dreamer/Changing the Dream Initiative of the Pachamama Alliance at their three-day Global Community Gathering at Mills College in Oakland, California. I designed and managed a blog which allowed comments from participants, videos taken of presenters, and photos from all - to be posted hourly for viewing and commenting by those around the world who could not attend. The results can be seen at: http://www.atdctdgathering.blogspot.com.
I will continue to try to keep up with emerging technologies and techniques which support the work of activists, and to offer my time to help bridge the gap between those who are developing and those in need of the products and services.
One other project of interest to me is to challenge my retiring boomers to re-examine what provides them their sense of goodness in their lives. If interested, check out my blog (Good and Rich) at http://wwww.goodandrich.blogspot.com.
