About
I work for the Global Diversity Foundation as regional coordinator for southern Africa. I am currently directing The Kalahari Garden Project, which aims to improve nutrition and food security among the San in the Omaheke region of Namibia through the development of food gardens. My academic background includes a BSc in Social Anthropology form the London School of Economics and an MSc in Ethnobotany from the University of Kent. Previous field research documented the ethnomedicinal knowledge among the !Xoon and 'N|ohan (San) in the Omaheke south, Namibia, and the impact of gender roles and relations on therapeutic learning and practices. We are currently documenting the San knowledge and use of wild food plants.
