Mike,
I am so pleased to meet you. The Lakota Culture is a gentle heart-song in the languaging from grandparents to children, a social loving language based in relationship. We are beginning to explore the Lakota Paradigm and one of the ways we envision this learning experience is to share with children around the world the "Lakota Ride Again" DVD. When you see a six year old riding bare back or two children on a tiny pony it starts to get the point across that this is a culture with a very special relationship with the web of life. Building an educational bridge between children in the classroom is part of our current offer. If there is anyway you can support this notion it would be greatly appreciated.
And I look forward to developing a friendship as circumstances permit. Please visit Pine Ridge anytime in your travels and meet some educators here. There is a language conference in Rapid City, SD Nov 11-13, 2008. It is launching on Wiser Earth as well.
Thanks Patric
