in marine sciences from Moss Landing Marine Labs, Ph.D. in neurobiology
and behavior from Cornell University. Member of the IUCN Invasive
Species Specialist Group, the Galapagos Island Invasive Species
Technical Advisory Group. Co director of research lab at the University
of California Santa Cruz with Don Croll. Published over 50 papers and
articles on seabirds, marine ecology, and the conservation of island
ecosystems.
